AMBROSE KILLIAN

Ambrose Scott Killian is the owner of Ambrose Studio. He is aproud desert/Eastern Arrernte and Western Bundjalung man, currently residing in Meanjin/Brisbane on Quandamooka country. Born on Larrakia country (Darwin), his family’s heritage includes connections to Eastern Arrernte, Bundjalung, and African-American ancestry.

He has always been a dreamer and a drawer and it’s now his vessel for communicating and connecting to Country and sharing stories of himself and his ancestors. Ambrose’s journey into understanding the cultural significance of art began in 2010 with the creation of ‘Grey,’ a piece that earned recognition and ignited his commitment to learning and sharing Indigenous art and culture.
